Whilst the world was in lockdown, the fitness industry continued to be there for their clients.

Gyms and Personal Trainers have played an essential role in supporting millions of us in getting through the last year. Exercise has been a lifeline for well-being during the Covid-19 pandemic, improving mood and lowering depression. With ‘When will UK gyms reopen’ one of the top Google searches of 2020, it's clear to see the value Gyms, Coaches and Personal Trainers, have on our lives.

Having ran the Lockdown Legends campaign throughout Feb/March 2021, we received almont 1000 nominations.

LOCKDOWN LEGENDS HIGHLIGHTS......

We've seen first hand, some of the amazing support that Gyms and Personal Trainers, have been providing to their clients. Here's just some of the Lockdown Legends nominated..

BOXING SCIENCE.

As one of the few elite sports gyms that has remained open throughout lockdown, Boxing Science has been continuing to support professional Boxers with their training. It's paid off too, with feather weight, Jordan Gill, winning his first lockdown fight against Mexican, Cesar Juarez, this year.

"Danny set me detailed training programs whilst in lockdown when we couldn't train together. Then when elite sport was given the green light, we have worked non-stop, monitoring every bit of training 1-1, so that I can be in the best condition possible."

FOUNDRY FITNESS.

Personal Training Studio, Foundry Fitness, like many across the country, have been a lifeline to their local community. Based in a London suberb, many of their clients have been working throughout lockdown, and in need of 1-1 support to get them through. Dr Anna Logan, a local GP, is just one of their clients, who've benefitted from their continued support....

“Stuart has an incredibly positive and infectious attitude and has attracted a lovely community of people which I feel very lucky to be a part of. His high quality and varied classes have been a huge part of my lockdown experience. They have helped me to structure my days and weeks and have left me feeling stronger than I have done in years. ROAR FITNESS.

Sarah Lindsay, British Olympian (Short Track Speed Skater) and owner of London based gym, Roar Fitness, has been supporting her clients and the wider fitness community with the #RoarChallenge.

Offering several fitness classes online each week via Instagram, she's kept thousands of followers and gym goers, focussed and motivated throughout lockdown,

Sarah has also been a key spokesperson across the media, having been featured on BBC News. Her circumstances, haven't stopped this incredible woman from looking out for number one, the public, during lockdown.
