BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
MAIN LOCATION OF OPERATION: UK, NORTHERN REGION
REPORTS TO: Head of Sales
PURPOSE OF POST: To oversee a portfolio of customer accounts, fostering new business development while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE: You will actively promote and sell the complete Jordan Fitness product range nationally to both B2B and B2C customer base, with potential opportunities for international sales. This position is primarily based in the northern region of the UK, however, national travel may be required for specific accounts and business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Proactively sell and market Jordan Fitness products and promotions to achieve established sales targets.
+ Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, focusing on generating new business and fostering relationships with existing customers.
+ Collaborate closely with the marketing department to develop agreed-upon marketing activities and campaigns that support sales objectives.
+ Maintain regular and professional communication with customers and prospects.
+ Actively utilize and update customer data within the Jordan Fitness CRM system.
+ Ensure the professional and consistent management of contract documentation and business relationships.
+ Enhance internal customer relations to optimize product penetration in after sales and support programs, including new sales and used equipment sales.
+ Continuously monitor competitor and industry activity to maintain Jordan Fitness leadership position in the market.
+ Uphold a strong customer focus that reflects Jordan Fitness brand values.
+ Effectively perform in a field sales role.
+ Attend the Jordan Fitness headquarters as required, with a flexible approach to travel.
+ Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Head of Sales regarding patch performance.
+ Participate in trade shows and networking events, both domestically and internationally.
+ Develop a strategy to penetrate the northern UK market to maximize sales and coverage in the region.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in negotiation and influence strategies.
+ Exceptional customer service capabilities
+ Capable of independently organising tasks and performing effectively under pressure.
+ Skilled in identifying business development opportunities within the region.
+ Experienced in telemarketing and outreach to potential customers.
+ Comfortable engaging with a diverse range of clients, from executives to gym owners.
+ Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
+ Open to international assignments as required for business activities, such as trade shows.
+ Demonstrates resilience in challenging situations.
+ Motivated by achieving and surpassing targets.
+ Positive attitude towards the use of CRM systems.
+ Knowledge of the fitness industry is a plus.
+ Proven experience in collaborative team environments.
+ Willingness to travel and flexibility with extended stays to cover designated areas.
+ An established network of professional contacts is a valuable asset.
+ Familiarity with local authority procurement processes and tendering is advantageous.
